3 Poems of Summer

An Aerie's Aria

Whimsical whispers upon the breeze
incant with a voice demure
enchantment unfolds, she's terribly bold
while singing through the trees.

Airily dancing
fairies are prancing
catching the tail of her stream.

Her crystalline essence can barely be seen
silvery wings a flutter
she's captured a rainbow in her hair
and her eyes can make a man stutter.

Merrily dancing
those fairies romancing
the wind as she whips up a storm.

An aerie's sweet aria
can sing me to sleep
her whisper as soft as a breath.
A gale in the heavens, a zephyr
a breeze...
a wafture of summer's sweet scent

Dance

Tepid morning turns to heat
Hot, dry and parching.

Dusty breezes signal hope
as clouds skim the horizon,

In the garden, hot and thirsty
sweating amidst the weeds.

Blessed rain begins to fall
a call to sing for joy.

Dancing praises to the heavens
Dancing in the rain

Elberta

Tender sun kissed blush
Soft fuzz against lips - now bite
juicy wet chin - joy

flavor bursting love
for peaches sensually soft
satisfaction sighs

sweet nectar
dripping sticky fingers
slurping sounds
summer thirst is slaked

In my personal opinion, prose is one of the most emotional form of creative writing you can ever come up to. This makes me me sad every time I am tasked to write one! But the prose that was supposed to be a sample above is simple; but it is still a good prose because there is a hidden meaning to it. One of the challenges of writing a prose is the fact that you need to deliver your message using limited words. That is kind of challenge especially if you don't know how to write one. But when you are willing to learn it, you can definitely pull it off.
